Ransomware may be in the hands of one of the worst possible countries, North Korea. Multiple outlets and even cyber security companies are saying it is more than likely that North Korea is carrying out ransomware attacks.
According to The New York Times, there are "hard links" connecting North Korea to the latest ransomware attack. Researchers believe the attack was carried out using methods and connections similar to the Sony hack in 2014, and South Korean cyber attack in 2013 which both were carried out by North Korea. The cyber security company, Symantec, believes it is "highly likely" North Korea carried out the ransomware attacks, according to CNBC. Symantec has found traces of code that have been used in previous North Korean cyber attacks. If this is true, which evidence is shaping up to say it is, it would mean North Korea could be capable of unleashing digital hell on the US or any country on Earth, because they already have. The WannaCry attacks were felt worldwide, and there was no stopping it until a blogger bought the domain WannaCry was pinging to. Here's more on this from ABC News:
North Korea has a hacking group dedicated to nothing but hacking. It's called Unit 180, a 6,000 man strong hacking unit. This is according to The Sun, and according to that article, Unite 180 uses attacks like WannaCry to raise money to Kim regime.
There is also a sister hacking group called Unit 120, which is around 1,800 strong that is assigned with hacking South Korean systems in event of a war. This could spell big trouble for the US and our allies, if North Korea wants to go to war, all they have to do is launch a cyber attack similar to WannaCry and they may have a big enough window of digital dark where they can carry out a military attack. It's sorta Red Dawn (remake) like. The US, our allies, and private companies need to step up cyber security and counter cyber attacks. North Korea can't be trusted at all, and we should assume North Korea was behind this for our own good.

Bombshell information came out yesterday from FOX 5 DC, that Seth Rich was in fact communicating with Wikileaks. Rich's family's private investigator came out with the information. Seth Rich was shot and killed last summer in DC, but no suspect was ever found.
This information nearly confirms a theory that Seth Rich was the DNC leaker, and that someone within the DNC or Clinton Campaign had Seth Rich killed. It's almost impossible to turn away from that theory now, one half of the puzzle has been completed, it's time to put together the other half. What's worse is, the D.C police were "ordered" to stand down on this investigation, hence the family's private investigator, and a still open case almost a year later. Rod Wheeler, the private investigator, said the police and FBI are not cooperating on this case, nor handing over any evidence or information. This is all according to The Daily Mail. That same The Daily Mail article also states that the Rich family isn't siding with Wheeler, but it's almost hard to tell an investigator he/she is wrong when they've been assigned with such a case. Maybe it's just emotions and disbelief? Here's more on this bombshell from Fox News:
Now according to The Daily Caller this morning, Seth Rich transferred 44,053 emails between DNC leaders and Wikileaks. Out of those 44,053 emails, 17,761 one of them had attachments, and they were transferred between January 2015 and May 2016.
This conspiracy is very close to blowing its top and being confirmed as true, that last piece of information completes this puzzle by more than half way. Someone in the DNC or Clinton Campaign got wind of what Rich was doing and ordered him to be killed. It's almost impossible to think different at this point. Well who knows, it could have been a complete coincidence, but given this new information and the nature of the murder, that's very unlikely. There is a reason Wikileaks offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in Seth Rich's murder back in August 2016. Wake up people, but hang on, this one is about to take off even if the mainstream media doesn't want it to.

WannaCry, the ransomware virus that spread throughout the globe last week like a wildfire. Today it has been reported of spreading throughout Asia. According to Fox Business, WannaCry infected computers in Asia after work on Friday, so when computers were logged back into, the virus became active.
Microsoft is putting the blame on the NSA, rightfully so, since it was stolen from them. That's per The Wall Street Journal, and per The Independent, Putin is also blaming the USA for the hack. Let's just be thankful that the virus ended up in the hands of blackhat hackers and not terrorists or enemies like North Korea and Iran. WannaCry can cripple governments and utilities just as easy as it did businesses. If implemented correctly WannaCry could have been used as a cyber weapon of war, and may have been shelved in the NSA just for that reason. Just imagine what could have happened if ISIS ended up this virus, or worse Iran or North Korea. The USA and our allies could have been crippled all across the board. WannaCry needs to be treated like any other virus, or at least precautions taken. Do no open any fishy sites or emails, and do not click on any links that do not look familiar or are random. Tricking humans into clicking on a link is the easiest way for someone to implement a virus/hack. Hours after the initial hack last week, by complete accident, a British blogger stopped the hack. According to Business Insider, a 22 year old British man was able to see the malware (WannaCry) was connecting to a specific domain, so what did he do? He bought the the domain for $10.69 and the hack was ceased. The Brit said he was just trying to monitor the hack and figure it out, but it halted the hack all together. The blackhats probably have figured that issue out and are working on a new way to implement and run the virus, but for the most part, the world seems WannaCry free with the exception of Asia right now, Let's hope that stays true.
Yesterday, President Trump issued a notice of termination to FBI Director James Comey. Comey himself learned at an FBI event in Los Angeles, and thought it was a joke per The New York Times. No joke, Comey, you're done.
It was well deserved given that Comey let Hillary and other powerful democrats off the hook, and even tried providing more cover to Huma Abedin and Anothony Weiner when he "corrected" his statements he made under oath in front of Congress last week. Huma forwarded many classified emails to Weiner to "print" out, but to Comey that's no big deal. Comey's incompetence and shadiness led to his firing, no one is to blame but himself. Even the Wall Street Journal is saying it was well deserved. At any rate here are the Pulsar poll results on the support of the decision to fire James Comey:
The No's have it at 52%, with the Yes vote at 34%. Out of 67 votes, it's sort of surprising the No vote won, but 52% believe it was the wrong decision.
James Comey had it coming to him, and even the democrats and mainstream media wanted him ousted, and they finally got their wish, but it was President Trump who fired him. Since Trump did the firing the media and democrats immediately flipped their script and scream "Trump-Russia" and "Nixon", and act like Comey did nothing wrong. Maybe if the FBI didn't chase the non-existent Trump-Russia collusion and prioritize actual real investigations, maybe Comey's reputation wouldn't be so negative. According to The Washington Post, the FBI prioritized the Trump-Russia investigation over intelligence leaks, and "resisted" investigating the intelligence leaks. President Trump was right, Comey was unable to effectively lead the bureau. Senator Rand Paul agreed with Trump's decision, and even agrees that the FBI/Dems are pushing a "huge myth" about Trump-Russia collusion. Here's a video of Rand Paul explaining his thoughts, per Fox Business:
God only knows what James Comey will do now, but it sure won't involve the federal government. Julian Assange of Wikileaks offered Comey a job though, per RT, maybe he can take that.
The Obama Administration seems to have been the real meddlers in the 2016 U.S presidential election, due to multiple actions taken by Obama staffers and even the former president himself. The week to date has been very eventful regarding this story.
It is looking more and more like the Obama Administration was up to no good during the 2016 presidential election. Susan Rice has been caught unmasking Trump officials names, and according to The Hill, Susan Rice declined to testify to Congress about that. Hey, Susan if you have nothing to hide, then why won't you testify? More than likely because Ms. Rice has plenty to hide, and will sit in front of Congress exercising her 5th Amendment right. Yesterday though, Rice's friends Sally Yates, former acting Attorney General, and former NSA director James Clapper faced Congress. Yates and Clapper were testifying on Russian and Obama admin meddling in the 2016 election. Really all we learned from Clapper and Yates, was Yates saying she warned the White House about Michael Flynn and his ties with Russia, and that her and Clapper knew about the unmasking and leaks, but were never the sources of them, per Axios. Also per The Gateway Pundit, Yates and Clapper refused to go into any details about the unmasking and leaks. Brit Hume of Fox News sums up the testimony pretty well:
Sally Yates though is the most visible in the snake pit at the moment, not only due to her actions and testimony, but Judicial Watch has sued for Yates's emails during her time at the Department of Justice, per Politico. Judicial Watch should have no trouble with that FOIA request, and if they do get Yates's emails, watch out because it may be a treasure trove of what truly went on during the Obama admin in 2016.
If the recent events surrounding the Obama admin and meddling in the 2016 presidential election, Circa reported that President Obama mined the NSA during the 2016 election targeting U.S citizens. Circa cites the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. The report suggests President Obama illegally searches thousands of Americans digital records during the election year. Circa states that the government conducted 30,355 searches during the 2016 election year. That has some very heavy weight attached to it. Circa is also reporting that Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), has requested the Trump Administration to probe on whether or not him and other lawmakers were spied on by the NSA during the 2016 presidential election. This spying would almost directly tie in with Obama ordering NSA searches of Americans during the 2016 presidential election. Senator Paul received reports that suggested he was targeted by NSA spying. If the probe goes forward, the Obama administration may be in serious trouble and charges may finally be filed against not just the former President, but against all the snakes within the Obama admin. President Trump certainly won't shy away from Rand Paul's request. As more and more information mounts of Obama administration meddling in the 2016 election, no information is mounting on claims that Russia and the Trump campaign colluded in the 2016 election. According to Breitbart, yesterday James Clapper confirmed there is still no evidence that the Trump campaign and Russia colluded during the 2016 presidential election. It's over lefties, your the real snakes in the grass, deal with it.
Highs and lows, that's the theme of the conflict on the Korean Peninsula. A few weeks back we seemed to have hit the highs in tension after a long period of lows, but since then, the highs have leveled off. However, the highs seem to be returning, and the possibility of tension peaking is relatively high.
Just today The Sun reported that North Korea is threatening "final doom of the US". North Korea states what they always state, that the peninsula is on the brink of war when South Korea and the US are holding military drills. Kim Jong Un though has vowed not to stop his nuclear program, and according to that same The Sun article, Kim plans to accelerate the program. Kim still promises to test a nuke at anytime. More concern also comes from another The Sun article which stated North Korea's Navy and submarines are preparing for missile tests. The worry of these tests is, the missiles may be able to reach the USA and could be under the guise of a test, but is actually a live missile. President Trump has been showing military strength, but all that has seemed to do is ruffle the feathers of North Korea and not deter them. China has been trying to help as well by sanctioning North Korea, but that has also failed to stop Kim. President Trump said in an interview that he'd be open to meet Kim Jong Un and talk this thing out. Here's the video on that per Fox News:
China has been playing a role, especially after the Trump-Xi meeting in Mar-a-Lago last month, but China seems to have been sending mixed signals. On one hand China has been threatening North Korea, but on the other, China has been urging the US and South Korea to stand down.
According to France 24, China wants the US to halt the THAAD missile defense system in South Korea. That raises more concern, and almost makes it seem like China would like to double cross the US and South Korea if war broke out on the peninsula. China and their president are smart, and still shouldn't be trusted all that much. That article stated China is worried about THAAD affecting their own ballistic missile capabilities, which really make you think, is China really an ally or nemesis? Let's say nemesis. Japan though has been a key ally in this conflict, they've deployed their Navy to accompany the USS Carl Vinson fleet that is off the Korean coast. Japan's president Abe even amended their "peace constitution" to include Japanese allies in the self defense clause, which Japan can only use their military in self defense. The highs and lows continue in the Korean Peninsula, and it seems that the highs are returning with all the talk and action from all parties involved. Kim Jong Un is one nuke test away from receiving a MOAB on Pyongyang, but that wouldn't end the war, it could start a war for the ages. Let's hope the right nations are on our side, and bring the Kim regime to destructive end. |
