2020 US Presidential Election and Twitter Polls: A Twice a Week Look (Week of August 17th Part 2)8/21/2020 Both images are public domain courtesy of https://free-images.com/ Since I last posted, there hasn't been many Twitter or Internet polls that have been released pertaining to the election. However, there is one big poll comparison that can be made. On my last post, the last poll I went over was a poll from @Politics_Polls, a fairly sizable account with over 150,000 followers. The ran a poll last week on "who you would vote for if the election were held today". Biden/Harris won with a little over 52% of the vote. This week, that same account ran another poll asking the same question and the results are a bit eye opening. Let's take a look. Again this poll is from @Politics_Polls: That is a pretty big win for Trump there. It wasn't even close. What happened? Last week the same account ran the same poll and Biden and Harris won, not big, but they did win. Here I'll post it below: Like I said in my prior post, polls will change, especially these kind of polls. Do I expect Trump to have the big of a result each time? No. Do I expect them to be close, not exactly, but I do expect in the coming months that one candidate will continuously win each poll posted rather close or by a landslide. So far, it's looking to be in Trump's favor. Trump did receive a bump this week. During the Democrat National Convention, Trump's approval rating went up each day. Yesterday and today, Trump received a 51% approval rating according to Rasmussen Reports. Here's that tweet below to see the bump he received this week: It's kind of funny to see the opposing candidate receive an approval bump during the party's national convention. What does that say about Biden/Harris, and the democrats overall? They have no message except Trump is bad, could that be it? Seems like it.
All I have to say is there is a shift towards the President, and we are seeing it play out daily. The Twitter poll I posted today seems to match the Rasmussen polls above. Let's see how this continues to play out. Stay tuned!
